SNMG 433 Carbide Inserts For Turning Steel
SNMG 433 carbide inserts for turning steel offer several advantages:
They feature a 90° square shape with a negative rake angle, which is ideal for heavy cuts and hard materials like
steel and stainless steel。
These inserts are double-sided, providing up to 8 effective cutting edges for extended tool life and cost efficiency
The SNMG 433 insert has a strong cutting edge that ensures durability and precision in various turning operations
Available with advanced coatings like CVD or PVD, which enhance wear resistance, reduce friction, and improve
performance during high-speed machining。
Designed with a precision lapped support surface for free cutting action and to handle semi-finishing to roughing
applications with ease。
Suitable for a wide range of applications, from stable conditions to heavy interruptions and poor machining conditions。
SNMG 433 carbide inserts are double-sided square inserts with 8 effective cutting edges, designed for medium to rough turning operations on steel. They feature an inscribed circle diameter (IC) of 12.7 mm (0.5"), a cutting edge length (L) of 12.7 mm (0.5"), and a thickness (S) of 4.76 mm (0.1875"), along with a corner radius (RE) of 1.2 mm (0.0469"). These inserts are secured via a cylindrical fixing hole and have chip breakers on both faces, making them suitable for a variety of materials, including hardened steel. The SNMG 433 insert with the grade like GK1125 is designed for cast iron machining, offering a strong cutting edge with excellent durability and precision lapped support surface for free cutting action. They handle semi-finishing to roughing applications with ease and are equipped with a double-coated MT-CVD grade on a gradient-sintered high-performance substrate, providing high wear resistance and superior toughness behavior. This makes them suitable for heavy interruptions, poor machining conditions, and demanding castings
