CCMT Wiper Inserts For Turning
CCMT turning inserts are designed for versatility and precision in metal lathe cutting tools, especially in the field of turning inserts. Here are some of their key benefits:
Positive Rake Angle: CCMT inserts feature a positive rake angle
Better surface finish. This design is particularly useful for semi-finishing and finishing operations.
Single-Sided Chipbreaker: CCMT inserts feature a single-sided chipbreaker that excels in controlling chip flow
80-degree diamond shape: Enhances insert durability in a variety of turning operations.
Wide Application Range: Recommended for steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and heat-resistant alloys
Coating Options: These inserts are available with PVD or CVD coatings
Indexable Design: CCMT inserts are indexable and can be rotated to expose a new cutting edge
Various Sizes and Grades: CCMT inserts are available in a variety of sizes and grades to meet different
machining requirements
CCMT 3(2.5)1inserts for turning are 80° diamond shaped, single-sided indexable carbide inserts with a 7° positive rake angle. They are designed for a range of materials including stainless steel and steel alloys. These inserts offer two effective cutting edges and are secured via a cylindrical fixing hole with a countersink on one side. The CCMT 3(2.5)1 size indicates an edge length of 3/8", a thickness of 5/32", and a corner radius of 1/64". These inserts are known for their strong cutting edge and smooth cutting action, suitable for roughing to semi-finishing operations.
The TG4105 grade features a yellow color and a hardness range of P15 to P30. Utilizing a dual-structure alloy substrate for enhanced toughness, it is further equipped with a medium-thick MT-TiCN layer and a thick a-Al2O3 coating. This material is specifically recommended for general intermittent cutting applications involving carbon steel and low-alloy steel.
The TG4135 grade is characterized by its black color and a hardness range between P15 and P30. It boasts a dual-structure alloy substrate that offers improved toughness, coupled with a medium-thick MT-TiCN coating and a thick a-Al2O3 coating. The coating benefits from stress balance technology, which enhances its reliability and wear resistance. This grade is ideal for a broad spectrum of steel processing applications.
The TG4245 grade is identified by its dual-color appearance and a hardness level that falls between P25 and P40. It features a robust and resilient alloy substrate that is enhanced with an MT-TiCN coating combined with a thick a-Al2O3 layer. This combination confers superior edge strength and resistance to plastic deformation, making it an optimal choice for machining applications under unstable conditions.
The TG6275 grade is distinguished by its multi-colored appearance and a hardness range of H15-H30 for hardness and S15-S30 for toughness. It is coated with an AlCrN PVD layer, which is designed to harden steel components with a hardness of 40-55 HRC. This grade is particularly suitable for the colorful processing of high-hardness quenched steel with a hardness of 50 HRC.
